Sarah Jackson

Sarah has been painting in mainly oils for over five years now, following a long career as a picture editor and photographer for illustrated non-fiction books. She often wonders why it took her so long to pick up a paint brush! Hugely encouraged by fellow painters at the Rosvik paint-ins, Jonathan Ellis’s RAWART classes, and the legendary Robin Child, she was so pleased to have been invited to be a member of the Chelsea Arts Society this year. Studying the work of Braque, as well more abstract painters such as Ivon Hitchens, Peter Lanyan and Richard Diebenkorn have both challenged and are helping her to develop her own style.
