Gaila Adair

​My paintings and drawings can be bold, colourful, or sensitive and soft, depending on the subject and the mood which I am trying to portray. I love the British countryside, whether it be a latticework of fields, hedges and woodland, meandering rivers or wild stormy seas crashing against rocks.
I use large brushes or palette knives with oil paints on canvas in varying thicknesses to convey a sense of movement and emotion with the subject.
